Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you deliver every image you shoot?

A: No we do not. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery.

Q: What should I/we wear?

A: It is best to keep clothing simple, avoiding logos or busy patterns. I always suggest layers/textures. In group photos, color coordinating is always more pleasing to the eye. Wear clothes that represent you and who you are. Feel free to bring a change of clothing.

Q: What to bring?

A: For family and/or children photo sessions: outfit changes, a drink, favorite toy, special stuffed animal. Please make sure your little one has been fed and had a nap before the photo session for a more comfortable and positive experience.

Q: How long does the photo shoot session last?

A: Actual session time depends on the package you choose. Time can range from 1- 2+hrs

Q: How do we book you?

A: Booking is simple. Just click booking on the website and choose your desired package and follow the prompts. Once you have reserved your date and time please allow 24-48 hours for someone to contat you for consultation. For additional questions email us at info@ipoeticphotographers.com or just drop a note under contact us.

Q: When will I receive my photos?

A: Approximately 4 weeks after your session (weddings usually 8-12 weeks depending on the time of year), I will have your custom Digital Disc completed. Pictures will be professionally edited, color corrected (if needed), some offered in black & white and all in high resolution. I will usually post a sneak peek photo of the session on my website and/or Facebook page and Instagram within a few days of your session.

Q: Where will the photos be taken? Do you have a studio?

A: The location of the photo session is up to you. We currently do not have a personal studio however there is a studio option for an additional fee (studio preferences require up to 3-4 weeks in advance for booking). Ideally I prefer to use natural, available light (for weddings (esp. indoor venues) Once your photo shoot date is booked we will discuss what type of feel you are looking for in your photographs, we can then work together to come up with the perfect location. Newborn photo sessions are almost always held within the comfort of your own home.
